Taking Care of Business, TCB, is a Transitional Sober Living Program.
PROGRAM GOAL:
The goal of the
program is to provide supportive case management for families in a
transitional sober living program and to assist families in their
recovery to achieve self-sufficiency and independent living.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
Homeless
Emergency Assistance Eligible
Need to have custody of child(ren)
Six months sobriety
Desire to be clean and sober
Ability to live in a semi-structured program
Ability to follow through on goals
WHAT IS
A TRANSITIONAL SOBER LIVING PROGRAM?
While
living at the program, individuals and families will:
Develop
skills through programs, school classes, and other training
Vigorously
search for secure housing
Attend
12-Step program meetings, create a bond with a sponsor, and connect
with other people in recovery
Meet
with a Case Manager as often as necessary in order to attain goals
Participate
in one-to-one therapy at Health & Education Services: Gloucester
Clinic, located on the campus of Addison Gilbert Hospital.
Be
encouraged to further education, participate in job training, and
learn to effectively access outside agencies
Save
for your future by following Department of Transitional Assistance
guidelines and/or by paying past bills, thereby securing good credit
TCB
provides shelter and case management for eight families in recovery
Each
family at TCB has its own
cooking
facilities, bathroom, and sleeping quarters.
The
program is located in Gloucester, just minutes from the beach.
