NORTH SHORE HEAD START
North Shore Head Start is a comprehensive child development program for low income three and four year olds living in Beverly, Boxford, Danvers, Marblehead, Middleton, Peabody, Salem, Swampscott, and Topsfield. NSHS offers a wide array of services to children and families that include education, health, social services, nutrition, and parent involvement. Services are available for children in both full and partial days.
SPECIALTY SERVICES
The Family Center serves NSHS children from the target area, 3 & 4 year olds living in Salem, and families from the Bentley School. The Family Center offers a wide array of programs to support and strengthen parents in their roles as primary educators of their children.
REFERRAL PROCESS
Contact the Admissions Supervisor. Families must meet the federal poverty guidelines, unless the child has special needs, as defined by Chapter 766. Full day services are offered to children eligible to receive vouchers from Community Partnerships or the Department of Transitional Assistance.
