ATARP
The ATARP program is described by many of the consumers as:
"A PLACE TO COME AND FEEL SAFE WITH OTHERS THAT UNDERSTAND YOUR DUAL DIAGNOSIS, AND CAN IDENTIFY WITH YOU AS ANOTHER FRIEND TRYING TO LIVE ON LIFE'S TERMS."
It is a residential outreach program for dual diagnosed adults, aged 18 or older. The program will provide supported housing in scattered sites in the Beverly/Salem area, if the client is truly deemed homeless.
The admission criteria for clients includes the following:
The services will be flexible to meet the needs of the identified clients. The overall goals are to Sustain recovery, reduce relapse, create stable living environments and empower and/or enable the client to become independent in the community.
This program has federal funds for assistance with rent subsidies. The client will be responsible for 30% of their income for a newly furnished apartment. All clients must agree to work with assigned service coordinators in the community and be willing to participate in treatment planning and the proposed treatment with their dual diagnosis.
The committment and dedication of the staff at ATARP continues to have a positive impact on the lives of their clients. To get a more personal feel of the program we are inviting you to read A client letter of recommendation.
