One is roots. The other is wings. Hodding Carter Jr.     For children who have experienced violence and loss in their lives, fear and worry are often constant companions. They usually find it difficult to trust or to feel safe. At the VOCAL Children's Program, counselors who have been specially trained to work with children of all ages use play therapy, art and music to help children feel safe and share their feelings and thoughts. As the children communicate their fears and worries, they also learn ways to deal with them. And as they heal, they learn to find their childhood again.     At the VOCAL Children's Program, counseling services are confidential and FREE. Parents and guardians do not need to worry about co-pays or insurance forms- they only need to concentrate on the child's healing.
