21 women are raped in Massachusetts EVERY DAY.

 

In Massachusetts an estimated 22% of women and 7% of men experience sexual assault in their lifetime.

 

1 in 4 females and 1 in 8 to 12 males will be the victim of sexual assault in their lifetime.

 

88% of rapes are committed by someone the survivor knows.

 

Rape is one of the most under-reported crimes. The FBI estimates that only 16 % of rapes are reported to the police.

 

Sexual Assault can happen to anyone! It is not confined to a specific gender, race, class or age group.
