Crisis Readiness and Response
Promote Resilience
Preparation, Training, Defusing, Debriefing and Follow Up
The HES Crisis Readiness and Response Program supports three specialty teams of experienced clinicians:
All team members are trained in the Mitchell model for debriefing victims of a traumatic event or incident. Members of both VOCAL teams have received national calls for support and responded in Oklahoma City in 1995, in Flint, Michigan in 1999 and in New York City in 2001. A critical incident is: any significant emotional event that has the power, because of its own nature or circumstances, to cause unusual psychological distress in healthy, normal people.
